The last thing you want is to end up with parts or products you don’t need. Many of our products are offered with optional hanging hardware to prevent this from occurring for customers who may already have the needed tools to install their swing into their intended space. However, it is recommended if you are buying a swing for the first time and don’t have any hanging hardware installed from a previous product.
Many of our products offer the option to include Hanging Hooks and/or Comfort Springs. Hanging Hooks are the hardware that installs directly into the joists or beams of your space and are usually required to attach your ropes or chains for final suspension. This hardware can range from various types of hooks; such as Eyebolts, Swivel Hangers, or Threaded Hooks. You can review the included hook type if opting into the hardware option for a particular product under the Specifications area by clicking the “Hangers Info” icon.
Comfort Springs are an optional accessory that is not required for final installation. They act like a shock absorber for your new swing when you sit down and smooth out the swinging motion. They work by attaching one on side to your hanging chains, and then attaching to your hanging hardware on the other side. While Comfort Springs can be paired with hanging ropes, the accessory is not typically recommended due to the natural flexibility of ropes. The added benefits provided by the Comfort Springs is minimal when paired with this hanging option.
